The grinding wheel of the Taber abrasion tester has two series Calibrase and Calibrade. It has a standard grade to meet all kinds of wear requirements, and then evaluate various materials.

 

Calibrase 

It consists of elastic binder and alumina or SiC abrasive particles. During the test, the worn surface of the grinding wheel is worn away, revealing the particles inside.

 

Calibrade 

It consists of inelastic, glassy adhesives and alumina or silicon carbide abrasive particles.

 

Calibrase grinding wheel is commonly used to test rigid samples, and Calibrade grinding wheels are used to test elastic samples.
