Introduction:

Fracture toughness test is a kind of mechanical testing method to assess the toughness of the material based on linear elastic fracture mechanics and elastic-plastic fracture mechanics. It determines the ability of component with crack to resist unstable crack extension. By measuring the performance parameters such as the fracture toughness, crack opening displacement, dynamic fracture toughness to finish the determination of resistance ability of component with crack.
